AirBaltic is the flag-carrier of Latvia operating a limited European network serving Budapest, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Kiev, Stockholm, Talinn and Vilnius.
The airline is owned by Air Baltic Corporation, a stock company that was established in 1995. Major shareholders of the company include the Latvian state, with 52.6% of shares, and SAS AB, with 47.2% of shares.
In 2005, AirBaltic carried 1.04 million passengers. Annual revenue amounts to around US$45 million, and the airline has 280 employees.
Destinations
Currently, AirBaltic operates direct flights out of two Baltic State capitals - Riga and Vilnius.
From Riga, AirBaltic offers direct flights to Baku, Barcelona, Bergen, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dnepropetrovsk, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Helsinki, Hurghada, Istanbul, Kaliningrad, Kiev, London, Manchester, Milan, Minsk, Moscow, Munich, Odessa, Oslo, Paris, Sharm El Sheikh, Simferopol, St Petersburg, Stockholm, Tallinn, Tashkent, Tbilisi, Tel Aviv, Vienna, Vilnius and Zurich.
From Vilnius, AirBaltic offers direct flights to Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Helsinki, London, Munich, Oslo, Riga, Stockholm and Tallinn.
