Emerald Hill Road has a collection of bars in the renovated terraces just up from Orchard Road that formerly housed many Peranakan families. The focal point of Alley Bar has to be the glided mirror hanging at the far end of the room, which has been done up to look like a street, with fake shop-fronts, parking meters and street signs.
