Asam Pedas Edit page

From Singapore Hotels & Singapore Lifestyle

Asam Pedas is actually a sour (asam) and spicy (pedas) gravy that is a popular choice to be eaten with rice. It is fish-based and made with the juice of the tamarind plant and plenty of ground chillies. Of course, the cooks do not just make the gravy by itself, but add some seafood (fish, prawns) and pineapple pieces to give it a more piquant taste.
