One of the best bars in Singapore - gay or straight - is the Backstage Bar, which is friendly and relaxed with a roomy balcony on which to hang out if the cosy interior gets too packed. Most people drop by here first before heading on to the clubs later. The entrance is up the stairs on Temple Street.
