As an External Auditor, you visit your clients' offices and conduct investigations into their financial affairs for legal compliance. Your duties include:-
- Interviewing the company staff regarding financial matters
- Checking accounting books and financial statements for accuracy
- Analysing financial records to ensure that they comply with established standards
- Examining business and accounting systems and recommending improvements to these practices
- Giving a true and fair report of the company's financial position
- Conducting specialised audit such as a due diligence review for business valuation, take-overs and management buy-outs
- Workign with lawyers to provide forensic accounting services
