Father Flanagan's - legend has it that Father Flanagan was Singapore's favourite Irish priest at the CHIJMES convent, where he brewed his own ale to keep the sisters happy. All this is open to rather scandalous debate; what's not in question is that this is one of the best of Singapore's sometimes tiring range of Irish pubs - and the only one with its own brand of beer, an Irish red ale called Monk's Brew. Pints of Guinness aren't cheap, but there's a jovial atmosphere and the food isn't bad.
