Fuk Tak Chi Museum Edit page

This building of historical significance, Fuk Tak Chi Museum, was previously known as Fuk Tak Chi Temple (Temple of Prosperity and Virtue). Dating from 1825, the shrine was the first temple to be built in Singapore. It belonged to the Shenist sect which combines aspects of Buddhism and Confucianism. The museum, featuring Chinese history and culture, has the original temple doors painted with protective door gods.
