Ikan Bakar Edit page

From Singapore Hotels & Singapore Lifestyle

Ikan Bakar - it's name is (almost) self-explanatory: bakar means "burn" while ikan means "fish". For this dish, fish is marinated in spices then grilled until it is crispy on the outside yet soft and tender on the inside. It is usually served with soya sauce.

A variation of this is Sotong Bakar in which marinated squid, grilled so that the meat is tender but the edges are slightly charred.
