It is situated in one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring locations in Singapore, with a panoramic view of the Singapore Straits.
il Lido opened its doors 8th February 2006, it has already been established as Singapore's iconic destination dining offering an ultimate gastronomic dining experience.
Owned and operated by Beppe De Vito, a well-known face in Singapore's food and beverage industry, with over ten years of experience at the helm of some of the best restaurants and bars in Singapore, having previously created the renowned Garibaldi Group of Restaurants amongst others. The service is energetic, friendly, informative, attentive & sincere. Selective recruitment followed by a dedicated training program ensures that the staff, clad in bespoke Song&Kelly21 uniforms, have all the right qualities to deliver a superior product.
An adventurer of sorts, Beppe has worked in London, Paris, Spain and even on the real Love Boat! And his belief that Italian eating is a lifestyle, explains il Lido's enchanting location, sea view and divine food - a result of this proprietor's persistence on using the freshest ingredients.
A new chapter begins as Chef Osvaldo Forlino gets behind the stoves at il Lido. Having spent a year on our shores already, Chef Osvaldo is no stranger to the local dining scene and has worked in award-winning restaurants in Northern Italy, which has opened new experiences such as cooking for French Presidend Jacques Chirac, the National Sommeliers Association, 3,000 people in Fiat with nine other top chefs and appearing on television.
Chef Osvaldo is the only chef in Singapore who has earned a Michelin star with his family's restaurant. He has great plans for il Lido, including sourcing the best ingredients from boutique producers and farmers in Italy. Il Lido diners are in for a treat!
It's hard to imagine another more qualified person than director Andrew Johnson who is in charge of private functions for il Lido the luxury yacht. With more than 17 years of sailing experience, Johnson is also a BSAC diver and a certified life guard. Add 20 years of working in food & beverage, he is the best person to advise on the most important aspect of the occasion. You are definitely in safe hands.
