Long Beach Seafood Restaurant is the first restaurant to come up with Black Pepper Crab, and has been around for over 60 years. The restaurant has some of the best Chilli Crab and Black Pepper Crab in town, although the live drunken prawns and Steamed Garoupa are also excellent. The number of Long Beach Seafood branches is a signal of its popularity.
Unlike many other places in Singapore, the Chilli Crab has not been adulterated to suit foreign taste buds and is still spicy and cooked in a thick gravy. You should order extra Man Tou to eat the curry gravy with.
