Old Parliament House

Just behind the Raffles Landing Site is Old Parliament House, a rather modest building that George Dromgold Coleman - the architect responsible for shaping colonial Singapore - originally built in the late 1820s as the private home of a British merchant. Due to land lease problems, however, it was turned into a courthouse and later became the Parliament House. There are plans to turn it into a performance venue for the arts.
