Siglap, further up from Upper East Coast Road, is made up of a number of private housing estates of Bungalows and Terrace Houses like Frankel (built by a Jewish developer) and the Opera Estate (with street names like Tosca Terrace and Aida Avenue), and stylish Condominiums. Rows of newly built terraces with shops, alfresco wine bars, smart Coffee Shops and Restaurants on the ground floor and private residences on the upper floor have proliferated here. Further along are rows of newer shophouses with trendy coffee shops like Coffee Club and Cafe Cartel.
