Teochew Porridge

Teochew Porridge is quite different from Chinese Porridge, firstly it is more watery and sometimes it may be cooked with sweet potato (orange colored variety). For Teochew Porridge, the accompanied dishes are pork cooked with preserved vegetables, braised beancurd, peanuts, duck eggs and many more.
The way to eat it is to bring the bowl to your mouth and scoop and slurp the porridge, with your chopstick, into your mouth and take some of the dishes and swallow it down your throat. The porridge and the dish would provide a smooth, silky feeling (but note that the porridge may be too hot!)
